Hello!

Well, it's Monday. Joel is still not feeling well. He sounds awful. We've all been suffering from some sort of painful sore throat. We called the doctor this weekend, and he called in a prescription for an antibiotic. However, Joel's throat is not healing too fast.

Joel is flying to Georgia in the morning for a automobile auction. He wishes he didn't have to go, but his ticket has been purchased. Zachary and I are really going to miss him tomorrow night. Please pray that he will be safe and that he will get to feeling better.

We are beginning the Stanford Test tomorrow. I guess I should get to bed early just like I want my kids to do. So I guess I will sign off for now. I hope you all have a great evening.

Exhausted!!!

Today has been a great day. Joel, Zachy, and I were going to have breakfast this morning, but we didn't manage to get out as early as we planned. Instead, we went to have lunch together. Then we went to look for some plants to freshen up our front beds.

When we got home, we worked out in the yard. Joel is still working out there right now. He wanted to thin out some of the shrubs that the contractor had planted. I have to say it does look better. I'll have to plant some annuals later.

Yesterday we were going to go to Lake Charles to see Joel's grandmother. ( I'm sure we would have stopped in DeRidder to see some of my family too) However, Zachary had not been feeling well. We went to the doctor. He had a sore throat and an ear infection. We decided Me Me didn't need that. So, we didn't make that trip.

Well, I guess I better sign off for now. I am thankful to say that Zachary is feeling much better today. He has done his share of digging. I think he is digging right now.

Zach's First Trip to the Zoo!

Joel is off this week and wanted to take Zach to the ZOO! You couldn't have asked for a better day to go. The weather was great, and the animals were in good spirits. Zach was a good boy and enjoyed looking at the animals. However, he was sober for most of the day because he didn't feel well.

Steve, Robbie, Corey, and Chloe' Vance went with us. We really had a great time. Zach really enjoyed being with his "Aunt Robbie" even though he didn't feel well.

He also had a great time being with his dad.

Joel and Chloe enjoyed feeding the birds. Joel was so proud when....

2 birds landed on his stick. He was such a professional bird-catcher that he would catch birds and give them to the kids.

Zach enjoyed being with his Aunt Robbie and Uncle Steve. Aunt Robbie has kept him since he was only a few weeks old. She loves him and boy does he love her.

Here's LSU man himself. Corey was a good sport and enjoyed his day too.

Well, I guess I better go. I have so much that needs to get done. I hope you all have a great day.

Easter Greetings!

I hope Easter went well for all of you! Our Easter was great.

Zachy sure enjoyed being with his daddy.

He also enjoyed his prizes from the Easter Bunny, Nana, MaMaw, and Aunt June. Well, I hope you all have a great day.

Excuses! Excuses!

An egg hunt for the junior kids, finishing up school for Easter Break, and everything else that has to be done are just a few of the excuses I have for not posting sooner.
The other night in church, Zach was sitting on his dad's knee. His papaw was preaching and called Sara and Alex to come see him. When Zach heard PaPaw say "Come see Papaw", he moaned in such a dreadful way. He said, "Um, PaPaw! Um, PaPaw!" He didn't think he should be left out. It was so cute. I guess kids are listening more than we think they are.
Well, I'll try to post again soon. Good Night!

ALWAYS BUSY

Well, this has already been a busy week. I'm already tired.

School is going well. We will soon be out for spring break. Our break is the week after Easter this year. Joel scheduled his vacation for that week this year also. I'm looking forward to resting and catching up on some work around here.

Last night Zachy and I went to see the kids' recital. We went to hear them play their violins. They did great.

Zach has been talking more lately. He loves his PaPaw and Nana. He has been saying their names quite a bit lately. Some other names he says are Moma, DaDa, Roel, Reece, Robbie, and Sara. He is such a mess.''

Well, I guess I better go for now.

Daddy's Home!!!

It's snowing! It's snowing! Wait, is it snowing in Louisiana in March? It is so hard to believe.
Joel also arrived home just a few minutes ago. He's taking a nap with Zach before he goes into work. I'm glad that he and Mom finally made it home.
I am enjoying my day off. I'm about to go get some work done.
Have a great day.

Roel!!!

Roel!!!Zachy has called for his dad several times over the last 2 days. Still no Roel! Joel and Mom were stalled in Cleveland, Ohio today. However, they were able to fly out at 8:30. I am so glad. I just wish he could be home tonight.

Last night, Melissa Pannebaker spent the night to keep me company. Tonight I am on my own. The main thing I am worried about is the weather. I don't want to be stranded on this side of the river all alone with no electricity. (It blinked awhile ago. )

Snow tomorrow! This is so unbelievable. But I guess it would be fun.

Well, I guess I better go. I will post again soon.

Where's Joel?

Well, today has been a good day. But tonight might not be so great. Joel has left for a quick trip to Indiana. He'll be home tomorrow hopefully. He is flying standby and the flight was too booked up to leave from Shreveport. He is on his way to Monroe right now. Hopefully he'll make the 5 PM flight.

Aunt Robbie kept Zach at school today. I always enjoy having Zachy at school with me. He really had a great time outside today. In fact, he had so much fun that he had to sample a little dirt. Now he is filthy. I am going to have to give him another bath.

We had a good day at school. The kids were happy to get a new basketball goal. They have been playing basketball lately. I'm glad because they seemed to argue so much when playing four square. Also, the junior high and highschool students had to do science projects. They did an awesome job. I am so proud of them. Dad came to judge them before he whisked Joel and Mom to the airport. Well, I guess I should be going.

Have a great evening.
