I know this Place!

Zach and I were back at the doctor today. He knows this place too well. He talked and talked about going to Doctor Rao's office!

He walked to the back like he knew where he was going. When he got into the room, the nurse had to go get the thermometer. So, he closed the door and went to playing. He answered questions and talked to them like he was a four year old. He doesn't seem to miss a beat. He told the doctor about the pillows that I told him not to play with because of germs. So, of course, he was happy to tell Dr. Rao that they had germs on them too. :)

Well, anyway, this time she thinks he may have bronchitis or pneumonia. She said to make sure he has 3 breathing treatments a day to keep him out of the hospital. I sure hope that he can break it at home. I'm ready for allergy season to pass.

YUM!

I've had a desire for baking lately. So, yesterday I was able to do a little. I put a roast, potatoes, and carrots in the oven. I made some homemade rolls. Then, I decided to make some banana bread. It is a Taste of Home recipe, and it turned out to be wonderful. It is so moist and delicious. This recipe is a keeper! So I decided to share it with you!

In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, combine the eggs, bananas, oil, buttermilk, and vanilla;
Add to flour mixture, stirring just until combined.
Fold in nuts.
Pour into a greased 9 by 5 in. loaf pan. Bake at 325 for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Yield one loaf.
Enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy!
Best Ever Banana Bread

1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
2 medium ripe bananas, mashed (1 cup)
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup plus one tablespoon buttermilk

Daddy's 81st Birthday!

Sunday, we celebrated my dad's 81st birthday! 6 of his kids were there and several of his grandkids.
Dustin is always the life of the party. He is so much fun to be around. Sam, of course, enjoyed texting. He couldn't wait to leave to go ride another bull. After all, it really isn't that painful when a bull steps on your foot.
Keith and Aunt Pat are just excited to be there.
Stephanie's little girl is so cute!
Daddy is ready to eat some of Karl's famous ribs and his "tough" brisket. Karl was such a good sport about his brisket despite all the "ribbing" about it.
Karl and Keith. They are just proud to be brothers. I am so happy for how well Karl is doing. He is so different.
Zachy had fun just being with his dad.
Callie is such a cute little girl. She looks even cuter with her glasses.
Thanks Karl for planning a party for Dad. You did a great job with the help of your sister.
Well, Becky and Terry, I hope you enjoyed the pictures. I didn't get as many as I should have. Oh, well! See you guys later.

It's time for a cut!

Last night we had Jamie, Marci, and kids over for pizza. Zach got a haircut by his barber Uncle Jamie. Jamie has cut his hair since he was a baby. He does a great job! I was taking a picture of my dear husband and this is what he gave me. Anway, I kind of like it. If it disappears soon you'll know why. I'm in trouble. And if I don't post ........

Anyway, we are going to DeRidder tonight for my dad's birthday. We will return tomorrow night. So, Becky and Terry, I'll be posting some pictures of that for you soon.

See you guys!

Thomas!

Watch this to see Zach's reaction this morning when he remembered that Alex took home his Thomas DVD last night. He ran to the door and had this to say. I did not realize I was recording it sideways. Ooops. Oh well, lesson learned!

"Homas DBD" Jamie, at? Bring my Homas! Excuse the wonderful video job!

I tell Robbie!

This morning when I was disciplining Zachy, he had just one thing to tell me! "I tell Robbie!" He loves his Aunt Robbie so much! She has watched him since he was a few weeks old.

Thanks Robbie for loving my Zachy!

Joel's Cabo Pictures 2009

Joel recently earned vacation for the two of us! I can't believe that I turned down staying in a place like this! Isn't it beautiful?
So,my best friend ended up going alone and fishing. His dad met him there for a few days of fishing and fun! This is one of the nice Dorado(Mahi Mahi) he caught.
Isn't this an awesome picture? The water and colors are so beautiful! Here are two welfare pelicans waiting on their next meal.
Well, I guess I better go! I'll try to post again soon. Jenny
