Live, Laugh, Love!

fall 2oo9 013

I found this wall art on sale at Kohl’s for $5 and some change.  So…..fall 2oo9 014

I hung it in my dining room.  I kind of like it.  Anyway, I guess I better go.  I have a birthday party to go to tonight.  I better get moving and stop wasting time in the blog world.

JUNIOR CHURCH

After school, I straightened the lunch room and the junior’s room, and I took these shots of the junior room.  I never posted any pictures after the redo this summer.  We used our ship from the banquet in the junior’s room, and I love it.    Dad totally secured the cardboard part of the ship as any perfectionist would.  He also rebuilt a smaller deck for the ship.

We usually have around 24 kids each Sunday night.  It sure is nice to have a neat room prepared in which to teach  these kiddos about the love of Christ.    Thanks to everyone who helped to get the junior’s room ready for another year.    We are having a great time as we sail the Seven C’s.

Some Mighty BIG shoes to fill!

221 I can see that is hard to walk in Dad’s shoes.  But…..I want to be just like Dad, so I’ll do whatever it takes.  He’s my hero.

More Fall!

I got this beautiful arrangement for my birthday! I love it! Thanks, Mom! Life sure is better in the fall!

Best Buds!

Zach loves his dad so much.....It makes it all the better when Dad builds him yet another track in the middle of Mom's floor. Dad is the hero! Mom is the ZERO when she takes it down several days later. Oh, well!

Birthdays.....

What in the world is this? What more can a person ask for? Thomas, M&M's, and Money....
Well, that's what Zach thought when he opened up yet another present from...
his Aunt June! Thanks Aunt June!
Mom Robinson had us all over Sunday night to celebrate my birthday. Look at this cake cutting adventure.
It took Steve to get it cut! Well, I didn't get many pictures because my battery was dead. Isn't that usually what happens?
But anyways! Thank you Mom for thinking of me on my birthday, and thank you everyone for your thoughtful wishes and gifts.

Fall....Ah!!

Fall! Ah! I just love it. There's nothing quite like the warm fragrance of a fall candle.
I found this cute fall apron at Ross. I just love it.
Happy Fall, Ya'll!

Zach's 3rd Birthday!

Last night we celebrated Zach's 3rd birthday even though it actually isn't until Sunday.
Zach had a Thomas party!
Unfortunately, my camera settings were not right and many of my pictures did not come out very well. Here is a shot with PaPaw in the background being rather silly!
But, anyway Zach ended up with some nice things and some money!
Here he is with Aunt Robbie.
Well, the little Conductor had a great time at his party. He and his mother were worn out. He climbed up into bed on his own and fell fast to sleep. Parties are tough for little conductors.

Zach's School!

Zach is a big boy now. Well, he's working on being one.
He, Sara, and Alex are doing a little school on the days that their moms keep Zach.
Misty had alot of fun activities to keep them busy to break.

Camping out at School!

Well over the past month, I've been camping out at school. Well, not literally. However, I have been working on a new school outdoors theme and getting things organized for another school year.
Each student received a school survival kit on their first day of school. I did this my first year here.....I decided that most of the kids that were here wouldn't remember......so I did it again. I found some cute tags to print for each item on Tip Junkie. I was excited to find the paw print ribbon at WalMart to match with my big paw print on the front of the bag.
I had been eyeing this bear at Lowes in the garden center. It was already on sale, but I wanted it to go on sale even more. I told my mother-in-law about it. She caught it marked down even more.....so now I have it. Thanks Mom for the bear and for your help.
Our cabin reading corner!
My desk area.....(Sister Reece, is that big ole' chair bothering you? :) )
Now that school has started, maybe I can rest.... No, there's no time for resting. There's plenty of work to be done. We're having a GREAT YEAR already. I can see how much our kids have grown since we've begun ABEKA. I'm looking forward to an EXCITING YEAR!

FALL STUFF!

I sure enjoy this time of year! I think it is my favorite time of the year. I am enjoying putting out my fall "stuff"! I thought this looked neat. I put about 6 candles on a cake plate earlier this year. To add a fall touch, I wrapped it with a fall garland. Finally, I tied it with a nice ribbon. Ta da! A neat decoration!

Chuck E. Cheese

Last Friday, I decided that I needed a Zachy Day. So off to Chuck E. Cheeses....
headed Zach, Alex, and me! And oh, what fun we had!
The pizza wasn't too bad itself!
Zach decided that he needed to kiss Chuck E. Cheese!
Zach doesn't like the fact that Alex stuck his head in front of him on Bob the Builder.
Zach had sooooo much fun. He asks to go back often. We just might have to go.
We came home for a little track building fun....and a few minutes of painting and
coloring. By the time we were done, there were 2 tired little guys.

Our Recent Dallas Weekend Getaway!

A couple of weekends ago, Joel, Zach, Dixie and I went to Dallas for a little time together before school started. Not too long after we settled into our room, Zach put his soap in the shower right in its own special place.
Zach and Dixie look out over the atrium outside our room!
Here's a special shot of Dixie who I'm sure is named after Tim and June's dog, Dixie.
Icecream after a meal is sooooo good!
We took a little trip on a train while we were away.
Zach watched as our train was being taken over by a band of ......
Thiefs..... Oh no! But that's ok! All went well!
We were able to visit the Zoo!
for Joel and Zach to see all the Zebras.....
elephants and monkeys. Well, I guess they were the biggest monkeys of all. I'm sure they felt right at home.
Well, we had a great little time! I just wish it were longer.
