"Look! Look, Mom! Come here!"
I hurried to the front door to see what I was supposed to be seeing.
"Look, the sun!" I saw some bright clouds floating by as the rain slowly drizzled down. It has been raining for the last few days.
"Yes, it's bright. But it is still raining a little," I replied.
"No, he's tired."
"Who's tired?" I asked.
"Rain's tired. I want Jesus to make it stop storming."

What a Bargain!
While in Hot Springs, my mother-in-law and I went shopping. She showed me this platter that was 90% off. It was chipped in about 3 or 4 places around the edges. She said that I could just shade it in with a black marker. (I wasn't exactly sure how it would look.) I got home and shaded the chips with a black and tan marker. You can't even tell (unless you know) that it was broken.

Fun with Sara!
Sara came over for the afternoon yesterday! She and Zach enjoyed playing at Chick-Fil-A and coming home to paint, paint,
PAINT!
After finishing their little number book, we headed outdoors for some driving fun.
Of course, Zach drove right to the "woods" and plowed right into a tree.
Sara had to come check it out. She told me she was the "Rescue Girl".
She had to use her rescuing skills to rescue Zach. "Don't worry Zach. Here I come. I'm the 'Rescue Girl'"!

We're Back!
Joel, Zach, and I went to Hot Springs for a week to join some of our family for a vacation. We returned home last night!
Zach enjoyed being able to swim, swim, swim and being able to be with his dad, dad, dad. I have learned that I am not too important when Dad is around. Well, at least until Dad disciplines Zach. Then I'm pretty important, and that usually starts another round of disciplining. :)
Last Saturday, Joel took our lawn mower to the shop. Zach was not too happy that the man was taking Mom's mower. He talked about it several times this week. He wanted to throw the man in the trash. Well, Joel was going to go get it this morning. So, he thought it would be a good idea for Zach to go along with him. So we woke him up, and Joel invited him to go along for a ride to the lawn mower shop! Zach was beside himself. He bolted out of the bed with great excitement. He was happy that the man fixed the mower for MOM!

A TEA PARTY!
Joel, Zach, and I went to a TEA (Taxed Enough Already) event yesterday for a few hours.
Don Bates, Jr. of Indiana (Joel's friend) did a wonderful job singing and speaking for a few minutes. He is running for a seat in the US Senate. May God bless him in this endeavor. It was the opinion of all under our tent that he should have done all of the singing for the event.Joel loves to sing and loves to hear good music. On Friday evening, Joel was glad to have Don do a small concert on a short notice.(1 day notice) He enjoyed singing with these men after the concert.
We had a wonderful 4th. Zach and I enjoyed time with Joel. We went to IHop for brunch and then shopped around at the Boardwalk. Zach loved his ride on the train and the carousel. Later, we went out to join most of our family at the TEA party! Afterwards, we were happy to go out to eat with our friends, Billy and Jennifer. What a great day!

A Bee Sting ME!!!
This morning around 3 AM, we were awakened by a loud cry through the house! I bolted out of bed to find Zach crying! " A bee sting me!" "A bee sting me!
We couldn't convince him that he hadn't been stung. He wanted us to close our bedroom door. He said that it was in the "compooter room"! After Dad searched the computer room for a bee, Zach was able to get some sleep.
This really caused this mommy's heart to ache. He still believes that a "bee sting me"!
